Free AI Music Video Generators Ranked by What You Can Finish at $0

Quick answer: At $0 with no watermark, only an open-weights model like Wan 2.2 or LTX-2.3 on your GPU finishes a music video you can post. Every hosted free tier we checked on October 21, 2026 stamps a visible mark, gives no usable credits, or has a mark we couldn't confirm. Clean export starts at $5 to $10 a month.
Sora is gone. OpenAI closed the app on April 26, 2026 and the API on September 24, 2026. In the same months, several other free lanes got smaller.
So we asked a narrower question than which free AI music video generator is best: what can a musician finish at $0? A finished clip is one you'd post under your song. No visible mark, downloadable, long enough to matter. By that test most free tiers finish nothing.
We opened every pricing and policy page below on October 21, 2026. Where a number comes from a third-party tracker rather than the vendor, we say so.
How do we rank what you can finish at $0?
We sort every free lane into one of three outcomes: a clean clip you can post, a watermarked draft you can only use for testing, or nothing without a card. Then we ask how long each clip is and how many you get a day.
A Spotify Canvas loop runs 3 to 8 seconds. A TikTok or Reels teaser wants 8 to 15 seconds. A full video for a three-minute song needs 20 to 40 clips plus an edit. A tier that hands you two 8-second clips a day can finish a Canvas in one sitting and a teaser in two. It can't finish a full video this month.
We didn't score picture quality here. Our no-watermark export test covers the watermark and licensing fine print in more depth. This page is only about the gate between generated and finished.
Which free AI video generators export with no watermark right now?
Only open-weights models you run yourself export clean with no cap. Pika's free plan is also clean, but it ships with 0 monthly credits, so it renders nothing at $0.
Two more lanes might be clean, and we couldn't confirm either. A September 2026 tracker saw no visible mark on PixVerse's free output, and fal.ai's free Grok Imagine sandbox gives five short image-to-video clips a day that we haven't checked. Everything else stamps the download or gives too few credits to render at all.
| Lane | Free allowance, as checked | Visible mark on free export | Clip length at $0 | What you can finish |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wan 2.2 or LTX-2.3 on your own GPU | Unlimited; needs 8 to 16 GB VRAM (Thunder Compute guide, October 1, 2026) | None | 5 to 10 seconds per render, chainable | A full video, given time |
| Google Flow (Veo 3.1) | 50 credits a day with or without a plan (Google Help, October 21, 2026) | Yes, outside the Ultra tier | 8 seconds; two Veo Fast, five Veo Lite or four Omni Flash 720p clips a day | A marked Canvas or teaser |
| Dreamina (Seedance 2.0 Mini and Fast) | 120 credits a day (Dreamina FAQ, September 10, 2026) | Yes; removal is a paid feature | 5 to 10 seconds | Marked drafts, daily |
| Kling 3.0 | 66 credits a day per trackers (August 2026); Kling publishes no fixed figure | Yes; removal is a membership benefit | 5 seconds, about two clips at 720p | Marked drafts, daily |
| PixVerse | About 50 credits at signup, then 30 to 60 a day (tracker, September 2026) | Disputed; check your first export | 5 to 8 seconds | One or two drafts, mark unverified |
| Hailuo | 150-credit signup offer, no daily refill (tracker, September 2026) | Yes, per Hailuo's terms | Varies by model | A few marked drafts, once |
| Runway | 125 one-time credits (Runway pricing, October 21, 2026) | Yes; "no watermarks" is a Standard perk | 5 seconds, about two Gen-4.5 clips | Two marked drafts, ever |
| Pika | 0 credits a month, packs only (Pika pricing, October 21, 2026) | No | Nothing until you buy a pack | Nothing at $0 |
| Luma Dream Machine | Trial credits; public pricing lists paid plans only (October 21, 2026) | Not applicable | Not applicable | Nothing at $0 |
| Seedance multi-engine site (the one we link) | 1 credit every 24 hours (pricing page, October 21, 2026) | Clean MP4 is listed as a paid feature | Not enough for a Seedance clip (Seedance 2.0 is 20 credits/s and 2.5 is 12 credits/s at 480p) | Nothing at $0 on Seedance engines |
| Grok Imagine | Free tier closed March 19, 2026; fal.ai sandbox gives 5 clips a day | Unverified on fal | Short image-to-video clips | Tests only |
What's the ranking, lane by lane?
Open weights on your own GPU rank first, because it's the only lane that finishes clean. Below it, we rank by what each lane finishes, then by how many clips a day you get.
Treat each lane as a free AI music video generator on trial, and judge it on the export, not the demo reel. One lane finishes clean. Six give you drafts: five with a visible mark, plus PixVerse, whose mark we couldn't confirm. Four finish nothing you could post at $0, including Grok, whose only free route is a third-party test sandbox.
1. Wan 2.2 or LTX-2.3 on your own GPU
This is the only free lane with no mark and no daily cap. Thunder Compute's open-weights guide, updated October 1, 2026, puts Wan 2.2 at 8 GB of VRAM for the 5B build at 720p under an Apache 2.0 license, which allows commercial use. LTX-2.3 generates picture and sound in one pass and wants 16 GB on a Blackwell card or 32 GB in FP8. The cost is time. Thunder Compute clocks a 5-second 480p clip from the Wan 2.2 5B build at 4 to 6 minutes on an RTX 4090. The 8 GB build leans on memory offloading, so expect smaller cards to run slower. A full video is 30 of those clips plus an edit. If you own the hardware, nothing else on this page competes.
2. Google Flow free tier
Google's Flow credits page says every account gets 50 Flow credits a day with or without a subscription. At 20 credits per Veo 3.1 Fast clip and 10 per Lite clip, that's two Fast or five Lite 8-second clips. Gemini Omni Flash costs 12 credits per 8-second 720p clip, so 50 credits cover four, but one request can create two billed generations. Two catches. Non-subscribers can be blocked from video during peak hours, roughly 2 to 5 PM UTC. And Google's help text reserves the clean export for the Ultra tier, a point a Google product expert restated in a Gemini community thread on Ultra watermarks, so free clips carry the small veo mark. Good enough to storyboard a Canvas. Not a finished one.
3. Dreamina, where Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 live
ByteDance's Seedance models run on Dreamina, and Dreamina's own credits FAQ dated September 10, 2026 gives free users 120 credits a day. The same site's June 26, 2026 guide said 225. Those credits buy Seedance 2.0 Mini or Fast drafts at 720p. The paid plans list "remove the Dreamina watermark in downloads" as a feature, which tells you what the free download carries. This is the most generous marked lane for testing Seedance prompts. It isn't a way to ship.
4. Kling
Kling doesn't publish a fixed free allowance. Its credits policy says daily login credits are issued "during the event" and reset at midnight, and its own FAQ says free-tier exports generally include a watermark, with removal a membership benefit. An independent tracker checked the live figure at 66 credits a day in August 2026, roughly two 5-second clips at 720p, down from an earlier 166. Kling sells credits at $1 for 66, so the free day is worth about a dollar.
5. PixVerse
The same September 2026 tracker logged about 50 credits at signup on PixVerse, then 30 to 60 a day, enough for one or two clips. It saw no visible watermark on free output. PixVerse's pricing page didn't render for us on October 21, 2026, so we can't confirm the mark from the vendor. Make one clip and look at the corner before you plan around it.
6. Hailuo
Hailuo's subscription terms are plain: free users "download videos that include a watermark", and watermark-free downloads start with the Standard plan. The free allowance is a signup offer, logged at 150 credits by the September 2026 tracker, not a daily refill. Hailuo's own paid-versus-free guide, as read on October 21, 2026, lists Standard at $9.99 a month. Its subscription terms, last updated July 14, 2025, list Standard at $14.99 with 1,000 credits a month. Check the price at checkout.
7. Runway
Runway's pricing page gives new accounts 125 one-time credits that never refresh. Gen-4.5 costs 60 credits per 5 seconds, so that's two clips, once. "No watermarks" appears as a Standard-plan feature. Runway now hosts Seedance 2.0 inside the same credit pool, at 116 credits per 4 seconds for Fast and 160 for Pro at 1080p, so a Runway subscriber can test Seedance without a second account.
8. Pika
Pika's free plan is the odd one: no watermark, all models, and 0 credits a month. You generate by buying a credit pack, so the free plan is a storefront with a clean export policy. Starter is $10 a month for 900 credits, still without a commercial license. Clean, yes. Free, no.
9. Luma Dream Machine
Luma's pricing page lists paid plans only, and the trackers describe trial credits rather than a recurring free tier. Plus is $30 a month for 10,000 credits with commercial use, Pro $90 for 40,000 and Ultra $300 for 150,000 (October 21, 2026). Nothing here finishes at $0.
10. Grok Imagine
Free Grok Imagine ended on March 19, 2026, when image and video generation moved behind the $30 SuperGrok plan. Paid accounts draw from a shared weekly pool that video drains faster than chat. The workaround is fal.ai, which gives signed-in users five Grok Imagine Video 1.5 Lite image-to-video clips every rolling 24 hours, with native audio. We haven't checked those exports for a mark. Keep it for tests.
The Seedance multi-engine site we link
The Seedance site we link from this page gives signed-in users one free credit every 24 hours. One credit does not buy a Seedance clip there.
The site's own model pages, checked October 21, 2026, price Seedance 2.0 at 20 credits a second at 480p, so a 5-second take costs 100 credits. Seedance 2.5 costs 12 credits a second, or 60 for the same 5 seconds. Even the Music to Video tool, the one built for songs, bills 2 credits a second at 480p with a 5-second minimum. So the free credit lets you sign in and see the interface, not test the engines on your song, and it carries no commercial license. Our Seedance free credits guide walks through the same math.
How did free credit allowances change in 2026?
Several vendors cut their free allowances in the same months Sora wound down, and none of them said why. The changes showed up on the vendors' own pages, not in announcements.
- Dreamina: 225 free credits a day in its June 26, 2026 guide, 120 in its September 10, 2026 FAQ.
- Grok Imagine: free generation closed March 19, 2026, five weeks before the Sora app shut.
- Kling: 66 daily credits in an August 2026 tracker check, against an earlier, undated 166.
Treat free tiers as trials, and check any "unlimited free, no watermark" headline against the vendor's own page. Our Sora shutdown guide has migration notes for anyone still holding Sora clips.
What's the cheapest honest upgrade when $0 won't finish the video?
Between $5 and $10 a month buys a clean export on most of these lanes. The second thing to check is the commercial license, because a clean file you can't monetize still isn't finished.
| Plan | Price, as checked | Monthly credits | Clean export | Commercial license |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Dreamina Standard | $5 in Dreamina's earlier snapshot; a $1.50 US first-month promo on Basic was listed for September 23 to October 9, 2026 (Dreamina, September 28, 2026), and the page still advertised it on October 21 | 1,575 | Yes | Check the live plan terms |
| Kling Standard | $6.99 first month, then $8.80 (Kling plan guide via Magic Hour, September 13, 2026) | 660 | Membership benefit | Check the plan page |
| Seedance multi-engine Basic | $9.90 a month billed annually, $118.80 upfront (pricing page, October 21, 2026) | 150 (about one 5-second Seedance 2.0 clip at 480p), with 1,800 issued upfront on annual billing | Yes, MP4 and PNG | Yes, "covering every output" |
| Hailuo Standard | $9.99 in Hailuo's guide (read October 21, 2026); $14.99 in its subscription terms (last updated July 14, 2025) | 1,000 per the terms | Yes | Paid plans only; read the terms |
| Pika Starter | $10 (Pika pricing, October 21, 2026) | 900 | Yes | No |
| Runway Standard | $15, or $12 billed annually (Runway pricing, October 21, 2026) | 625 | Yes | Not stated on the pricing page |
We link the Seedance multi-engine site because it's the one plan in this table that bundles a clean export, a stated commercial license and the Seedance 2.0 and 2.5 engines, at $9.90 a month on annual billing ($118.80 upfront). The pricing page marks annual billing as a 30 percent saving, so month-to-month costs more.
At the site's own rates, Basic's 150 monthly credits cover one 5-second Seedance 2.0 take at 480p, or two 5-second Seedance 2.5 takes. The "up to 15 AI video renders" on the plan card assumes cheaper engines. On annual billing the full 1,800 credits arrive upfront, which is about 18 Seedance 2.0 takes at 480p, or about 7.5 minutes of Music to Video at 720p.
So the site does four things badly. The free daily credit is too small to render a Seedance clip. The Seedance credit math on Basic is thin. The pricing page carries a "price increase coming soon" banner. And the site still lists Sora 2 among its engines a month after OpenAI shut the Sora API, so check the model picker before you pay for a specific engine.
Dreamina is the cheaper door if you only want the Seedance model and don't need a license spelled out. Its promotions change by the week, so read the live price rather than any guide, including this one.
What should a musician make at $0 this week?
Use the marked lanes to decide, not to publish. No hosted free AI music video generator on this list gave us a confirmed clean export, so the free week is for choosing an engine.
Run the same 8-second prompt through Dreamina, Flow and Kling on their daily credits, and pick the engine whose motion fits the song. Then spend one month on that engine's cheapest clean tier during release week. On the Seedance site that means the higher month-to-month price, since the $9.90 rate needs a year upfront. If you own a 12 GB or bigger GPU, skip the subscriptions and start with Wan 2.2.

Frequently asked questions
Is there a free AI video generator with no watermark and no daily cap?+
Only if you run the model yourself. Wan 2.2 and LTX-2.3 are open weights with no mark and no cap, and Wan 2.2's Apache 2.0 license allows commercial use. Every hosted free tier we checked on October 21, 2026 watermarks the download, gives zero monthly credits like Pika, or has a mark we couldn't confirm from the vendor, like PixVerse.
How many free Seedance videos can I make a day?+
On Dreamina, ByteDance's home for Seedance, free users get 120 credits a day (September 10, 2026), enough for a short watermarked Seedance 2.0 Mini or Fast draft. On the multi-engine site we link, one daily credit is far below the 60 to 100 credits a 5-second 480p Seedance clip costs, so it renders no Seedance video alone. Neither free lane includes a commercial license.
Does Google Flow watermark free Veo videos?+
Yes, for most accounts. The visible-watermark exemption is reserved for the Ultra tier, and Google's documentation now says even Ultra clips carry a visible mark where local rules require one. All Veo output also carries the invisible SynthID fingerprint. The free 50 daily credits buy two Veo 3.1 Fast clips or five Lite clips, each 8 seconds long.
Can I just remove the watermark with a tool?+
You can, and you shouldn't. Clean export is the paid feature on Kling, Hailuo, Dreamina and Runway, so stripping the mark cuts against the terms you accepted, and it doesn't touch invisible fingerprints like SynthID. One month on the cheapest clean tier, $5 to $10 at today's prices, costs less than a takedown or a strike on your channel.
Which free tier is best for a Spotify Canvas?+
A Canvas loops for 3 to 8 seconds, so one clean clip is all you need. Google Flow's 50 daily credits produce two 8-second Veo 3.1 Fast clips, but they carry the veo mark. For a clean loop at $0, render it with Wan 2.2. Otherwise one month of Kling Standard, whose 660 credits make about 20 five-second 720p clips at the tracker's rate, covers an album's worth.
Why did free AI video credits shrink in 2026?+
No vendor has said why. The cuts clustered in the months Sora wound down: Grok closed free generation on March 19, before the Sora app shut on April 26, and Dreamina's own pages dropped from 225 to 120 daily credits between June and September 2026. A tracker logged Kling at 66 credits a day in August, against an earlier, undated 166. Treat free tiers as trials.
